our process

PROJECT INITIAL PHASE

consultation

We begin all projects with a consultation with Valerie and an Associate Designer. This is where we discuss your vision and budget for your space, and how we can help.

contract, retainer, & project commencement

When you decide to move forward, we’ll go over the contract with you word for word, collect the retainer, and begin your project!

RESEARCH, DESIGN PRESENTATION PHASE

trade day

The second meeting will be on-site, where we arrange our tradespeople to take measurements, photos, and any other criteria needed to produce our schematic design for your space.

design & documentations

In this step, we begin the schematic development with the execution of drawings, sourcing goods and services, and procuring estimates. Here, we will use our list of high quality and carefully selected manufacturers to begin sourcing materials and items for your space that work within your timeline, budget, and design style. Items and materials include but are not limited to, paint colors, tile, flooring, furniture, hardware, lighting fixtures, textiles, and window treatments.

We then present a visual display of all the furnishings and materials and their estimates to our client, after which we can collect any deposits or payments needed to move forward.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT PHASE

order placement

Once we have selections and an assessment of delivery lead-times, we can place your orders. Our team manages all orders for you to ensure timely delivery and installation.

budget & progress review

We give all of our clients weekly recaps of their retainer and project information, so you can readily access the timeline of your project, and we use this step as a middle point to to meet and review all progress.

initiation of construction & renovation

This is where all of our schematic designs come to life!

installation

This is the period where our tradespeople install any custom built-ins, fixtures, window treatments. etc.

furniture installation & styling

During this period, we schedule deliveries of the last items,style your space, and obtain photos for the finale!

client reveal

The Reveal is where you get to see all the hard work come together!

identifying deficiencies

If there were any problems in the ordering, shipping, or any other process, or anything that you notice during the reveal walk-through that needs to be addressed, this is the step for identifying those and proposing solutions.

resolving deficiencies

This will include resolving any issues that may have come up in the project.

project closure meeting

During the closure step, we will present any final invoices, and make sure we’ve crossed all of our T’s and dotted all of our I’s to ensure your happiness with your final product.

thank you & project completion

The last step includes presenting you a client binder with all the necessary information for the continued success of your design.
